Token
A crypto asset issued on top of another blockchain (e.g., USDT on Ethereum). Unlike a network's coin, a token doesn't pay the network fee directly.

A token lives on top of another blockchain (e.g., USDT on Ethereum), so it pays the transfer fee in that network's coin — an ERC20 token needs ETH for gas. The same token can exist on different networks with different addresses and fees. Always verify the token's network on both sides of the exchange.
