Altcoins are everything except Bitcoin — from large ones like Ethereum and Solana to thousands of niche coins. Popular altcoins have high liquidity (many exchangers, a narrow spread); rare ones have low liquidity, and exchange may be unprofitable or impossible. It is often better to exchange a rare altcoin through USDT rather than directly.
