How to exchange USDT to rubles
USDT is the most popular stablecoin for cashing out to rubles: the rate is pegged to the dollar, and the TRC20 network has a low transfer fee. Below is how to exchange via an exchanger monitor and what to watch for.
Step 1. Determine the USDT network
USDT exists on different networks — TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, etc. For cashing out to rubles people most often use USDT TRC20: a low, stable network fee. Make sure your coins are on the exact network the exchanger accepts.
Step 2. Pick a direction and payout method
Decide how you want to receive rubles: to a bank card (e.g. Sberbank or T-Bank), via instant payments or cash. Then open the needed exchange direction.
Step 3. Compare exchangers
In the monitor compare the rate, reserve (is there enough for your amount), rating and limits. The top rate is not always the best — factor in reserve and minimum. How to choose — in the article how to choose an exchanger.
Step 4. (Crypto) Do an AML check if needed
If the amount is large, before the operation it makes sense to do an AML check of the address to reduce the risk of a freeze.
Step 5. Complete the exchange on the exchanger's site
Go to the chosen office, enter the details for receiving rubles and the address/network for sending USDT, follow the exchanger's instructions. The exchange happens on their side — our site just helps compare rates.
Common mistakes
- Wrong network. Sending USDT TRC20 to an ERC20 address can lose funds. Match the network.
- Ignoring the reserve. The rate is great, but there isn't enough reserve for your amount.
- Forgetting the network fee. Final amount = rate − network fee − exchanger fee.
In short
- For cashing out to rubles people usually take USDT TRC20 (a cheap network).
- Compare the rate together with reserve, limits and rating.
- Match the network on both sides and account for all fees.
